Shane Gibson is an internationally recognized speaker, trainer and entrepreneur who has addressed several thousand people over the past four years on stages in Canada, USA, and Southern Africa. With a diverse background in sales force leadership, new entrepreneur development, and extensive sales and leadership coaching Shane is unique in the marketplace. Shane is a contributing author to The Complete Sales Action SystemT and a master trainer in the Managing Complex Business Relationships System both published and produced by Knowledge Brokers International Ltd. Shane is Executive Vice President of Knowledge Brokers International and currently heads up KBI's the North American initiatives.
He has been published in numerous business and ethnic magazines on the topics of Leadership, Marketing, Sales, Strategic Communications, and Assessing Business Opportunities. He has also addressed the topic of "Entrepreneurial Leadership" in magazine, radio and television interviews.
Shane Gibson is an active student in many martial arts disciplines, learning from his teachers and mentors many principles that he carries into his consulting, training and writing. His mentors include Jyun Eugene Shabaoka, Canadian Sport Jujitsu Champion 2002, and Fred Shadian North American Arnis Record Holder.
In the field of entrepreneurship education Shane ran the Burnaby based Y.E.P. program (Youth Entrepreneur Program) recognized nationally across Canada as a top practice in entrepreneurship education. Over the past four years Shane has coached hundreds of entrepreneurs and executives with a core focus on sales, leadership and business development.
Shane's delivery of over a dozen sales and leadership development programs for the Vancouver Board of Trade over the past 24 months as well as his "Professional Sales Certificate Program" with Langara College is quickly earning Shane the personal reputation as one of the top sales development professionals on the West Coast. His personal clients include the University of British Columbia, The University of Victoria, Fitness World, Ladies Only Fitness, Burnaby Hyundai, InfoSat Telecommunications, Ideapoint Technologies, Stuart Kasdorf Photography, DNK Models, The Brick, Cendant (Budget Rent-a-Car of Canada & AVIS) the Financial Advisors Network TOS Insurance, Barton Insurance (HUB International) and Langara College. Shane has also been invited to address the members of The BCTIA, Victoria Chamber of Commerce, ACE National Conference and the BC Annual Youth Entrepreneurship Conference.
To ensure that Shane stays in touch with the real world of business he continues with a select group of business executives, sales professionals, and entrepreneurs as their personal sales performance and business advisor. The event is being held on Thursday, Sept 30th, 2004 from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Fairmont Empress, Buckingham Room (lower level near Kipling's). The luncheon presentation is $30 for guests. SME member's meals are included in membership dues.
